Lest we forget that I spend a significant amount of time each week working my "real" job, here are some pics from the library over the last few weeks. First off some interesting art has been displayed. The first I didn't get a picture of, but my friend Jospeh did
here. Yes that is a giant Starbucks cup made out of used Starbucks cups. I hate to know how many days it took the artist to collect cups, I fear too few. This was only on display for about 30 minutes one lunch time. Bummer, because I knew lots of people who wanted to erm, knock it down.
Other art, apparently a pile of left over projects from an intro sculpting class. This one has been around for a week or two now:
Another day I got to attend the opening of a week long
Chinese Film and Culture Festival and see this Face-Changing performance. It was very cool. If you would like to see what it was like, check out this YouTube
video.
A rainy day:
Then last week was the Great Shakeout, and here is another great picture by Joseph, of the
library evacuation.
So while mostly I am at my desk, the reference desk, or teaching classes. There are a few amusements at work.
