Audrey on Wheels

Audrey is the third and final child to get the pedaling thing.  She just hopped on and started pedaling, up till now it was always "push me!"  Davis, not surprisingly, took to it very early.  He also is speedy on his balance bike, just as fast as Seth, his 2 years older brother.  Audrey still won't even try hers.  Oh well.

Audrey's first "Girls (afternoon) Out"

Audrey and I were able to join a few friends Sunday afternoon to see a production of the Cinderella ballet.  Audrey loved it, I took her out once because she was having a hard time staying quiet, and she really wanted to go back in and "watch my show!"  Afterwards we all went to the Market Place and had frozen yogurt and ran around.

Seth the professional artist

Seth's school had an art auction fundraiser, and I was quite surprised to find out that Seth had actually made a piece of art for it.  He is not usually an art guy, usually passes on the activities to go run around and dig in the sand.  Anyway, they had a Friday evening reception, and we all went.  Someone did outbid me on Seth's piece, but in the end I got it.  After spending sometime there eating and getting Davis's face painted, we wandered around the largely deserted campus.

Blustery Day

Today we went to the beach in the really windy weather to fly the kites.  It was REALLY windy.  The kites took off, we were barely able to control them, but Davis loved it, holding on with two hands.  Audrey also enjoyed being tugged on by the kites, but was very cold and so got Grandma's jacket wrapped around her.

New Hat

Audrey got a new hat, and found an interesting berry in the yard.  Don't eat the berry!

Playtime at the park

My standard park to take the kids to is Wardlow park.  It has great shade, nearby parking so I can get the kids in and out of the car, and a gated play area which was very important a year or so ago, although not as much now.  I mostly took these pictures to show that I do occasionally manage to brush Audrey's hair.  Generally, especially if on my own, the process of getting three toddler/preschoolers fed, dressed, out the door and buckled in their carseats, AND packing food, water, diaper bag and sand toys leaves little time or energy for things like ponytails.  But here they are:

My Big Backyard

With nice weather comes lots of time in the backyard.  Here we are enjoying the swing, and discovering the creatures we share our space with.
