Zoomars

We took the (real) train to San Juan Capistrano and visited a little petting zoo called Zoomars, a short walk from the train station.  The kids didn't seem that excited by the train (they liked the station).  But it was exciting for me and my mom since we got on the wrong one!  Luckily all trains headed south are going the same way, so we made it anyway.  Zoomars proved to be fun, very hands on, and there was a little train of course, way more fun than the real one.

Power Up

We went to the power plant for a day of propaganda ;)  In addition they had ponies, face painting, bounce house, and food all for free.  They had a fundraising drawing as well for the LB Education Foundation.  After all the fun and food we suited up and toured the inside of the plant.  It was pretty cool, having lived in the shadows of these beasts most of my life, I now know a little more about them.

Grandma's Phone

These are all pictures my mom took on her cell phone over the past few months.  Thought I'd share.

Art Museum

My kids asked to go to an art museum.  Umm.  My kids:
1. Are not quiet
2.  Do not hold still
3.  Like to run amuck
4.  Are not quiet

I didn't really think they understood the concept, so rather than drive to LA for a big museum, we opted for the much smaller, closer to home, MOLAA.  It was not quite disastrous, but I don't think we'll do it again anytime soon.  Let me just say they had an exhibit made of q-tips and bouncy balls all strung together and hanging from the ceiling to the floor.  And you had to WALK THROUGH IT.  One would assume you weren't supposed to touch it.  One adult would assume that.  3 and 5 year olds would assume you were supposed to grab and pull with all your might.  No pics allowed inside the museum, but here is the outside.

Clean Teeth!

All three kids went to the dentist at the same time.  For A and D this was their first visit, S was an old pro.  All did spectacularly well, much better than I do ;)  Not a tear from anyone.
