What's up with us

I just wanted to write a little about whats happening around here.  Sorry no pix this time.  With a little less than two weeks before Audrey and Davis turn one, things are ramping up.  Davis is now a proficient walker, he can move with speed and agility.  Audrey has started taking a few tentative steps, the same way Seth did.  Its funny I forgot, but when Audrey started doing this I remembered.  Seth and Audrey both started walking by sitting in the little blue chair we have, and then they would stand up and take a few steps forward, fall, and crawl back to start over again.  Davis was so different, the way he started with standing, and once he had fairly good balance, started taking steps.
Both Audrey and Davis are now great at going down stairs, which is VERY important.  For some reason babies learn to go up first, which is a problem when there are not enough people to watch them.  Both Audrey and Davis are now trained to turn around and go down backwords, and can go down several steps easily.
The furniture in our house is quickly disappearing.  We took the train table out as it was being used only as a jungle gym, and not for its intended purpose.  One of the drawers was broken as well from kids climbing in and out of it.  Then a couple of days ago Audrey broke the glass top of our end table (no worries on the table, I got it for $5 10 years ago, AND no one got hurt) but I had to throw that out.  Davis knocked the lamp off that table a few days before that breaking the part where the light bulb goes and the light bulb, so I don't have to worry about getting a new table to keep that on :)
Anyway, we are getting ready for birthdays and the holidays, and I'm sure we will see many of you soon!

Seth's art

Seth has several masterpieces from the last couple of years. Here are a few:

Bugs made from his fingerprints

Daddy and Seth's hands for Father's Day

Halloween Ghosts ('07) made out of Seth's footprints

A pot painted for me for Mother's Day (08)

This is "Dinosaur Footprints" according to Seth. He made it recently at school.

November portraits

We went to the studio to get pix of the kids in their costumes. Seth finally got in his costume (wouldn't wear Buzz had to be Dash instead) and we got some pix, including the running pose! We got Audrey and Davis in their Angel and Devil, and Davis even wore the hat! They also took some of Audrey and Davis on the xmas background. Enjoy!

Atlantis Park

Davis is bored, Audrey is mad, and Seth...

Great great great...

...Grandpa built this chair for my grandmother. Here are the twins trying it out, and a flashback photo of Seth doing the same thing.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins last Wednesday. Audrey and Davis were fascinated. Seth started to get into design... I will upload a video, although it isn't that exciting, see the bottom right to see our videos on YouTube.

Crazy climbers

I have mentioned to many of you that last Sunday my children reached a whole new level of ability to make me crazy. The twins both decided that climbing is what they should be doing all the time, and Davis decided to walk.

I fell like one of those performers who have plates spinning on sticks, I pul one child down just to run and get the other one that has climbed up. There are no good pictures of this for obvious reasons, although I will keep trying. I will also try my hardest to get a video of Davis walking. He walks all the way across the room now, no coaxing needed.

Halloween

One whole picture of Davis with his hat on, a couple of Audrey, and you will note that there are none of Seth. He would not put his costume on and he wouldn't trick or treat. Oh well, maybe next year. (See a few weeks back for pix of Seth in his Buzz costume the day we got it.)

Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch

My mom and I took the kids to the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. Audrey made an excellent pig. Seth enjoyed the maze but wouldn't get on the train with Audrey and me. Davis slept through the whole thing!
