Halloween 09

San Fran part 3

Over to Berkeley to see the sights and taste the tastes. Yogurt Park was interesting. Couldn't get pictures with all the flying ice cream... A stop by the Vivarium to ooh and aah the Herps, and then back to the apartment with our new Cal megaphones. Great.

San Fran part 2

Saturday morning, we got up and headed north. Finally a tiny bit of fog. Hate to complain but it was HOT in San Fran. Not what I was hoping for, no jackets for us. We drove to the John Muir Redwoods and hiked around under the trees. We saw a fabulous banana slug and the kids (all four of them) had a great time in the leaves. I'll upload a video to YouTube, see down on the right.

Halloween Cuties!

Adventures in SF part 1

Our vacation started fine. We packed in the morning on Thursday, and got on the road before 11. The kids were great in the car, we got there with only 2 stops, lunch and gas. We drove in to Berkeley and got a pizza at Zachary's. After waiting for traffic to subside a little (thanks iPhone maps with traffic!) we crossed the bay to our 4 day apartment in SF. A beautiful place at the top of Potrero Hill, no problem parking, we unloaded the car and moved in. Gave all three kids baths, got into jammies and tried going to sleep. Wasn't working too well. Davis and Audrey were playing close the door, bang on it until Mommy opens it again. Close the door and bang on it until Mommy opens it again. The third time, the poor door couldn't take it anymore, and Davis punched his hand through the glass pane. Deep cut on finger, hunting for the nearest emergency medical facility, Jeff taking Davis, me staying with Audrey and Seth. Off to a good start, no? Davis is fine, they glued it shut, no stitches. Eventually everyone fell asleep. Unfortunately no pictures of bloody hands or broken glass were taken :(

Friday morning we woke up and headed to the newly renovated Academy of the Sciences/Steinhart Aquarium. See pictures below:

I wasn't that impressed with the whole halloween at disneyland thing, but we had a good time anyway. Audrey wouldn't wear her costume at all, but you can see Seth and Davis in their Bee suits!

Sleeping Girl

Pumpkin Patch #1

I'm guessing we'll have a few more visits before the season is over,
but here is our first visit to Pa's. We had a great time, I kept
remembering to last year, when Audrey and Davis weren't yet one, and
Davis took his first steps amongst the pumpkins and we all watched
Seth ride the rides. Not this year, all three were doing it all,
including first pony rides for Audrey and Davis, and all three took
their first dips in the bumper boat pool (Apparently they had no
problem letting the little guys drive their own boats. They actually
strongly encouraged it. Pretty crazy.) And while in the petting zoo,
we met another mom who had her son, Davis, and her daughter, Audrey
with her. Wild.
