Ice cream, yum!

We attempted to get pictures of the 6 cousins at the mall since they are all in town. Everyone got dressed in white shirts (even Sebastian- see previous posts) and jeans, hair brushed etc. Five wonderful children sat together and smiled, while one little white devil did not. He ran around, cried, hid behind the backdrop tried to escape the studio, you name it. But thanks to a lot of patience on the part of the photographer, my mom, me and most of all a 15 year old, 9 year old, 2 year old and 2 7 month olds, we finally got a good shot of the 6. I will post it as soon as it comes.

Anyway here they are enjoying a little post-picture-trauma celebratory ice cream...

ps the ...ahem... "uncooperative" child was Seth, of course.

Wednesday at WAP

Sorry folks, 5 posts today! Last one I promise.

We spent yesterday at the Wild Animal Park, with the cousins. It was much more pleasant than our last trip (104 degrees), yesterday it was only 84 or so. We had a great time though. See pictures of sullen Sebastian (age 15) texting away as he spent most of the day, but came out of his shell as he was selected as a voluteer at the Billions of Bubbles show, where he got to drop 10 mentos into a 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke!

Seth and Sammy

Seth and Cousin Sammy are having a great time, as Seth slowly gets over her being at Grandma's house and touching "his" things, and sitting in "his chair" etc. I'm going to start calling her Goldilocks. Anyway, here they are looking for ducks after family dinner at Wahoo's and of course the requisite bathtub pictures.

Seth says "Sammy" quite well, but usually calls her the "tiny one cousin" He has not yet mastered his older cousin, Alexa's name yet, but calls her instead, "big one" or "big kid" He has no name for the eldest cousin, Sebastian, as he is 15, has been hanging out with old OC friends (my brother moved to NC 3 years ago from Irvine) and hasn't been around much, however, I think Seth may end up calling him "black one cousin" as all he wears is black (pix in the next post).

Swinging

A glimpse at what life might be like in the future, I was able to take all 3 of my children to the park, and swing them all at the same time!!! All by myself!!!

NC contingent arrive

My brother and his family live in North Carolina (way too far away if you ask me) Anyway, they are here for a couple of weeks, and we are having a blast, so expect a bunch of pix coming your way! Here are the first few days. On the slide is Sammy, 4 months younger than Seth, and in the background is Alexa, age 9.

Here's Davis with Uncle Michael, and Seth in the background.

We had a blast across the street from my Mom, with our friends Cole and Brady (not pictured, but they have the coolest toys!)

Pox update

Well, if Davis had it, it was the most mild case ever, at most 3 pox. So I think we are pox free for now!

A pox on us

Well, Audrey had the Chicken Pox (had because its pretty much gone now). Not too bad a case, she didn't seem to mind the itching, but was a little out of sorts for a few days when her fever was high. All smiles now. Pretty sure we didn't see anyone to give it to, and we really aren't sure where it came from. Possibly the 4th of July. Oh well, thats over and done with, and were crossing our fingers that Davis doesn't get it.

Ebay Doesn't Like Free Ice Cream

Some of you may know my friend Matt, if you don't, your life will now be cooler because you know he exists. Anyway help him out by digg'ing the story below! Check out www.icecreamman.com to learn more about Matt.

"Ice Cream Man tries to auction off a sponsorship so he can give away tens of thousands of free ice creams and ebay unjustly shuts it down.Digger, Help defeat the tyrant of ebay!"

Jeff and Cathy

I've been spending a lot of time reading my friends blogs recently, and I got the idea to post about us. I've been talking about nothing but Seth, Audrey and Davis for nearly 3 years now, I almost forgot about Jeff and I!

Jeff is working very hard starting up his own contracting business Outten Construction. He is working remodel jobs on several houses most of the time, which means he's very busy, but still gets in time to play with the kids. Check out the extremely professional web page :) created by me. (At least there's some good pix of his projects.)

I am currently at home with the three kids, but will be starting back to work half time in August. I will be going back to my job as a librarian at CSULB. Seth will be at preschool on campus while I'm at work, and the babies will be at home with their Grandmothers.

Anyway, that's enough about me.....

7 months old!

On July 6, the babies turned 7 months old! They are sitting well, and both can army crawl, and both get up on all fours and rock back and forth, but no real crawling yet. Audrey finally got her first tooth (probably wont catch up to Davis's 7 teeth anytime soon) on July 11.

Red White and Blue

On the move

Everyday the twins get a little more mobile. They are threatening to crawl. (I use the term threatening in the most loving way possible.) But seriously, what are we going to do? Even in the house, no matter how much I run around and pick up choke sized items, Seth puts them down even faster. I figure if there were one baby, I suppose I could crawl around with him/her and hopefully see the dangers before the baby. But with two? Which one do I follow? (Davis, since he's the mouther I guess.) And what happens if we aren't at home? Someone else's house, a friend of Seth's perhaps? For sure there would be little items there. Outside at the park? Maybe no choking, but as they pick up speed, and choose different directions.... So what is the answer? Baby jail? Perhaps, but not for too long, for both my sake and theirs. Well anyway, wish us luck as we embark on this new "moving" adventure...
